Morning all.

Well, the creek overflowed and flooded the road and my yard. That receded and was barely coming in my driveway (road was still flowing hard). Things seemed to be improving, so I went on a call to the next district to sand bag some houses. Well, no more than 30 minutes after I left I get the call from my wife. It's worse that the first time. There was 3" of water up against my garage doors, tearing down the street, through the side yard, etc. The Asst. Chief ran me home. I ended up kicking the fence on one side of the driveway off to let the water flow through and not hang out in the driveway. While doing this, the mayor finally showed his sorry ass and drove by. I'm all hopped up on adrenaline and start f-ing him out telling him to fix the road/culvert, etc, that is screwing up my house/yard. He yells back that it isn't the road. All I can say is that it is a VERY good thing that he didn't stop driving. I now start screaming at the top of my lungs at him as he drives off. There is no doubt in my mind that he heard my last statement calling him a jackass near the end of the street.

Ok, sorry about that. I just get pissed that I pay taxes on time every time, give as much of my time volunteering with the Fire Dept to help people in need as I possibly can (including the mayor when he fell off his camper and broke his leg mind you), and do my best to make sure that my friends/neighbors/acquantainces/people in distress are ok and have what they need. For all of this, I get NOTHING in return from the MoFo's that run this God foresaken Village. NOTHING. Dammit I'm mad.

I need to stop thinking about this and go check on my basement and garage.

Oh, the bright side is that I was on the news. I was interviewed by two news stations in which one actually had the footage on the 11pm broadcast. We'll see if that catches someone's attention.
