I don't know what it is this month, but the Nebraska chapter is getting smoked in the post count area. I don't know if we're just not as chatty, or if everyone else is in serious babble mode!

Jack, I've been called to jury duty for Douglas county 3 times! I was able to get out of one, the plant manager wrote a note to the judge, saying that they needed me during the refueling outage that was going on during that time. Never been selected to a jury, though.

I knew someone would call me out for my brilliant idea... I've got two girls at home, one of whom is an aspiring ballerina... I had to go to her dance company production back in June, and am still subjected to flash-backs from that.... I know you guys won't tease me about it, causing me further stress.

I think a couple of our regular babblers have been taking a break lately. Either that or we've covered every subject so deeply, we've become unneeded.... uh, I hope FTE doesn't 'lay-off' chapters when they hit a lull in gabbing?!

I had jury duty once in Colorado.... made into the Jury box as an alternate, but then the guy changed his plea at the last minute and we were dismissed before it even started. I've always been fascinated with it myself, even though it's a royal pain to go through it all. I got to testify in the pre-trial for the jerk who stole wifey's car in Omaha that time... they just asked me basic questions like how long we owned it, what it was worth, etc. I wasn't needed by the AG for the regular trial, guess they had enough on the perp from his "buddy" who ratted him out!

I can't beleive you'd think we'd harrass you for something like that....although it was very hard not to do some editing to your post Rob!!

If I remember right, it always seems to slow down in here during the summer.

I have been sent a couple of summons for jury duty but have never had to report.
If I did, I use to have an exemption due to being a volunteer fireman the state figured that I was already performing a civic duty but that exemption was eliminated several years ago.

Anyways, if I was called now, it is no big deal because the county court house is right across the street from my office and I would get paid from my job and for serving on the jury.
