Case in point... I was told that it is now required for a tanker to carry an extension ladder on it. WTF??? the purpose for a tanker is to dump and run to refill, not sit on scene of a fire. Now this tanker did also have a 1000 gpm pump on it so I would consider it a combination tanker/pumper.

Hey Neil and Shaun! Yeah Neil, it never fails. These guys wouldn't know what end of that tanker to hook a hose to if their lives depended on it. But give them a little decision-making power, and hold on! I face the same thing all the time and it is frustrating to say the least. Oh, but let one of their houses catch on fire and your tanker runs out of water but you can't run and refill because somebody needed that extension ladder off the side. You can bet your butt that they'd be the first ones screaming at you to go get more water and forget the ladder!
