I rolled down my window and I could tell me truck is still plenty loud from the sound bouncing off the surrounding buildings. I wanted to quiet it down but at this point I don't care; I'm just glad to have a comfortable ride now.

Here you go! Echo tips always look better but I didn't want more chrome on my truck. Besides like I said I just don't care anymore.

By the way, does anyone know where to go to get a oil drain plug? Would Advanced carry something like that or Napa, or is that something I have to buy from a Ford dealer?

Thanks my friend!

Yeah, we're stuck in the middle of a move from texas to west virgina. This is God's country!

We've been stuck in this motel for about a month and a half. The Cops busted a meth lab that was right next door to us. We had to change rooms because of the chemicles they said was coming through the walls.

You can imagine having to change rooms without any notice kind of sucked when you have over a month of crap accumlated between three adults, three dogs, one bird.. I was not happy. Stupid crack heads. LOL

Thanks dfk! I ran to Advanced and picked up a drain plug. It's a different size (half inch) and doesn't look the same, but I guess it'll work? Here's the thing; I cannot change my own oil right now and I need the local Penzoil place (never had good luck with taking my truck to places like that) to do it. Well, this normally wouldn't be a big deal, but my drain plug is half way stripped and I just know those jokers will finish stripping it and put me in an ugly situation. So I was going to have them just use the new drain plug.

I know you didn't want to know all that, don't really know why I told you. lol!

personally I had a 75 ford f100 with a 240 that sounded good with a single 2 1/4 pipe and 24" glasspack. I have a good friend with a 52 chevy 1.5 ton and a 235 with a single straight pipethat sounds good. Its sounds more like a cummins than a V8 but its not annoying sounding like a six with duals. I personally think six bangers sound better with singles. I would try a 2.5 head pipe into a 12" glasspack or magnaflow round muffler and run a 3.5 or 3" tailpipe.

I took off hard the other day and all the neighbor's were talking like I was some kind of jerk for doing so. If I had a quiet truck, nobody would have said a thing. I think it's almost funny. Loud doesn't mean fast, morons (my neighbors, not you guys).
