intake manifold leak

On the way home the other night The choke heating tube on my 460 blew out of the intake manifold. when I looked at it it had two gaskets and a bunch of sealer under it so I assume this happened to the previous owner as well. I put a new carb with a strait electric choke on it so I don't need the tubes. Does anyone have an idea as to how I can get this to seal an not come back off? Before I could get stopped the heat from the leak fryed a couple of hoses and melted part of the carb, so I never want this to happen again.

couple of ways.

you can get a block off plate that goes between the intake and head that blocks this cross over port off. Felpro makes and intake gasket that includes this tin block off plate as it is used in propane apllications.

if i remember correctly, the tube slips into this port so you could drill and tap it to fit a plug or bolt to seal it off. that would probalby be the easier option.
