460 efi

I have a 1982 F150 with a 429 that needs to be completly rebuilt. it needs everything new from pistons to starter and water pump to everything. i have found a 1997 F350 with a roller 460 with EFI. My question is will it be easier to swap the EFI to carb or the truck to EFI. Any help in this matter would be awesome thanks.

That's a very good question. With the carb, and the different characteristics of a roller 460, it might take some tuning to get it right. With the EFI, nothing will change so it'll be more of a "bolt in and go", but the wiring will be an issue.

Also, if the EFI is an automatic, the tranny is an E4OD and you'll need to keep that tranny with the EFI motor. Or get a PCM (computer) for a manual tranny (or get the automatic logic turned off by a tuner)
