Nightrain is starting off with a positive reputation.
Replaced clutch today... Now having slave cylinder trouble when bleeding...

1994 Mazda B4000 4.0L 5 Speed Regular Cab SWB 4WD

I installed a complete clutch kit in my B4000 today, along with a new slave cylinder.

After everything was reinstalled, we bled and bled and bled the slave cylinder, and the pedal only got slightly stiffer. It still almost hits the floor before you feel any pressure, but the truck won't go into gear, and when you try to start it in gear with the pedal down, the truck leaps forward.

We pumped the clutch and opened the bleeder probably at least 30 times. I got a bit of air in the beginning, but later on it was only fluid.

It seems that I remember hearing some folks say in the past that sometimes you need to let it sit overnight or something, maybe with the cap off of the master cylinder... I can't remember.

Anyone have any ideas? After a full days work, I'm anxious to see my truck pull itself on its on again instead of slipping itself to death.

Thanks ya'll...

Nightrain
