cast iron gt40p lower intake manifold good for a truck motor?
I am in the early planning stages of building a 351w for my f150 with the 5.0 in it right now. a local guy has a 351w gt40 cast iron lower intake manifold for sale.I know this is a rare intake, but is this intake good for a truck motor? and if so,what would be a good price for the intake? thanks!!

Free. Yes it's a good intake design and there probably isn't much of a market for the cast iron version outside the boating industry so if this guy isn't into boating then you may get a good deal. If not I'm sure he'll think it's worth thou$and$ or some such nonsense.. like everything else marine related. You'll need a GT40 or Explorer upper to go with this of course...

One thing to beware of with these marine parts is if they have been used in a raw water cooled engine in the ocean. This really wrecks things, and the salt keeps slowly seeping out.
Probably the intake you are considering hasn't seen salt water, but if it spent time on the coast it may have.
