Repairing rotted wood under fiberglass siding??'s

My 1997 Terry 5th wheel has fiberglass siding that has been bubbling out the last several months. Part of the siding peeled out and funneled some water into it. I repaired the leak, but now Iknow the moisture is still trapped in it and has completely rotted the plywood underneath the fiberglass. I am thinking of repairing this myself. Can I just peel back the fiberglass until I get to good wood and replace the rotten, then use contact cement to reglue the siding to the new wood? Thanks
