Angry My truck can't pull it self out of wet grass!@#$%^&*

A couple of weeks ago I found out that my truck, literally, can't pull it self out of wet grass. I had one rear wheel spinning and the other not doing a dang thing to help me out

I have a 2001 2WD F250SD XLT Crew V10 w. a 4spd auto trans. I found out that the axle code is 31 which I think means that it has a Conventional Non-positraction 3.73 gears?

Truck is mostly used on the road hauling a loaded down horse trailer down the hwy/interstate but occasionally I need to drive it on grassy/dirt while hauling the trailer. I know a 2WD will never be a 4WD truck but...

What do you guy's recommend that I, myself, can install to prevent this useless wheel slip when I'm on grass/dirt? Any aftermarket stuff? And if so, what, keeping economy in mind.

I would take a good look at the powertrax lock-right. You can install it yourself, it's very reliable and it gets good reviews. When I put a new axle in my Bronco (very soon) it's going to get one.

aurgathor is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I'd put in an electric locker.

Personally I like the Detroit TrueTrac.

BTW: The PowerTrax Lock-Right is not recommended for Daily Street use.

-Enjoy
