rear end noise

When changing rear end oil is the additive you use to quite rear the same you would use in a posi rear end?

steve(ill) is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
i added a 7 oz tube of the friction modifier to the 75w 140 full synthetic gear lube in our 2002 and it helped the gear noise about 75%. this is the noise you have at 60 MPH under throttle. the noise was not there at lower speed, and would go away when you took your foot off the throttle. I believe it to be gear mesh noise only.

Thanks Steve, I will try the same thing as our noise is really not all that loud.I hope this might take care of it.

Changed rear oil to 75-140 syn and added 7oz moly and still have same noise.Will be going on 2800 mile trip in near future maybe after that it might make a differnce.
