In an attempt to keep things real...I believe that 11 of our soldiers have died in Iraq this month. They...along with the 4100 +/- other ones...are the ones deserving of your adulation.

Thank you ken! That was my point in the MJ thread.
People who are REAL HEROES are dying every day and we give them little or no never mind.
Our soldiers are the real deal. they do not have a director saying "turn your head this way or that way" They don't get retakes if a shootout ends in a death. They Dont have someone applying make up like an earl scheib paint job so the unattractiveness will be hidden away and more money made. The soldiers are not being paid 125,000-2,000,000 for a two hour gig. They don't get to sit on pompous lazy butts in an air conditioned dressing room bitching why there are green m and ms in their dressing room. They don't get taken from one battle field to the next in a limo. They dont get their boobs enhanced to take the emphasis off their ugly personality, they dont get nose jobs, butt tucks and botox to be something they are not.
How shallow to put any celebrity up on a pedestal. Do you really think any actor, pitchmen etc is the real deal? They are what someone behind a desk wants us to see. They are chameleons who do not give a baboons red butt about you or me. How many celebrities do you know are in Iraq right now and I don't mean telling jokes or showing boobs to soldiers? Not a one. How many celebrity kids do you know of? (dr lauras son was only one I remember) Do you think that just one mom or dad of a soldier that died in Iraq would love to have seen a flag flown at half staff over a big city for their child? Or have people get into a non local chat room or message board and talk about what a great person their son was or even bother to learn anything about any soldier that is over there?
oh well. Sorry to hijack. It just kinda got to me seeing what Ken said in print. Its the frikken reality. farrah, ed, MJ and billy mays are just fakes. I understand they are people too but look at whole picture.

Well, I will miss BM more then MJ, that is for sure.

Seemed like a decent productive family guy that worked hard and contributed to society, so, it is a loss.

Thanks Ken. I get pretty tired of hearing about all these so called famous people dying with little mention for our men & women in our military. I have a friend who shipped out today to return to Afghanistan. I'm not sure how many tours he has served over there but more than two. He has 24 years in the Navy.

Yeah I know my wife liked the show too. I'm a marketing guy it's what I do for a living, and watching how he branded himself as an individual...that's a tough thing to do. Really stinks, happens to all the good ones.

I could refer you to a number of good threads debating this but it's not worth my time or effort. My guess is that you don't like police because you are one of those that has constant run-ins with us because of your behavior. Just try to imagine, if you will, my utter lack of concern about your dislike for police officers. Maybe one of these days when you need help from one, you'll have a change of opinion...most do. Most people complain and cry when things aren't going their way and are the first ones to scream at the tops of their lungs when they need help because the "old lady" whipped their azz. It's easy to sit back and criticize when you don't do and obviously aren't capable of doing the job.

John I'm sure your a great Police officer,,I have seen some that have chips on there shoulders and not a clue about being fair..

Case in point I had a customer give me a bad check for $600 witch in our state makes it a Felony..

The cop I delt with tells me to go to Small claims court and settle it there..

and witch the officer would not listen to the fact that the dead beat could be arrested on a felony charge..So where does that leave me?
