just to note that 4 public persons die and we are sorry ,?? for them or us?it is the way of nature we don't get out alive ..it is normal to leave this world ...my only conser n is not to have said or done for thoes that need here and now ..
We are sad for our loss. Same as when one of our family dies. It's a loss to us, an empy space that can never be refilled. Actors give us a few hours of entertainment to fill our otherwise drab lives. When they die, especially ones that we grew up with, or really enjoy seeing, there is an empty space in our lives. We relate to that actor. I was pretty young when John Wayne died, but I remember being very sad (I was 12). To me, he was larger than life and an icon. When Swayze dies- it's a matter of time, now- it will be a very sad day for millions.
BTW, I kinda liked Billy Mays, too. His recognizable voice is going to be missed. He was a self-made man and worked very hard to be successful.

As annoying as he was, Billy Mays was entertaining. He will be missed. That Shamwow idiot should take a lesson from him. I think I should go out and buy some Mighty Putty at Walmart in honor of the departed.
PS - Is he really dead? Or is this a stunt for his latest invention? It could be a build your own coffin, or a veggie powered defibrilator. Maybe the home version of an MRI.
Probably a lot of celebs grateful that June is over after tomorrow......

I think the late Billy Mays was on his way to becoming a big time celebrity. Who knows how far he would have gone in show business, maybe his own sitcom.

I have to agree with you, Billy seemed to be the spark that made the show worth watching.
Billy was the face and Anthony was the brains. The show is dead (Sorry, bad use of words) without Billy. I feel really sorry for his son, but more so for his young daughter that will only have faint memories of her dad.
