Sorry to hear that. I'm curious what it will cost to get it programmed.

Reprogramming cost $49. However, there was a problem. The stereo would not accept the programming. Evidently it is not compatible. Soooo, I'm still looking for a compatible radio.

One more interesting tidbit. I just got off the phone with Ford parts. They quoted $803 for a single disk CD and $1071 for a six disk changer + $100 for a core charge. And that was after the "new vehicle discount". Meh. They also were unable to tell me the part number - bummer. So now I'll do the hit and miss on eBay I guess............

If I can find one that I know came out of an '09 I'd go for it.

I took a shot on ebay, and got a peach...150.00 for an OEM 6CD changer/radio.My truck is an 07 XL,and it didnt have the OEM radio when I got it.Thankfully, the previous owner had a Pioneer Aftermarket installed professionally(they used an adapter harness rather that cutting the truck harness)..This ebay unit was out of a F-150XL same year model.....THIS was the real plug and play!

Hopefully I'll have the same luck. I just bought one off of eBay last night. The serial number starts with an 8 so it's not a given that it will fit. I paid $150 as well for a new 6CD changer/radio.
