wiingnut is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I have had both and like both. I ultimatelytraded my 6.0 in because I heard Ford was discontinuing the v-10. Before buying the 6.0, I debated back and forth between the v-10 and PSD for over a year. I ultimately chose the 6.0L. I wasn't driving as often as I was when I first bought it. The truck was sitting a lot, so I ordered a v-10 and couldn't be happier. Both are great choices, both have pluses and minuses. Enjoy the argument boys

Do you really think this is a serious argument here?? It is all in fun, lighten up a bit. This has been discussed so much that if you cant have fun with it you might as well not even read the threads with such a title.

I have both in Excursions.

The v10 is good for short runs to town and around town. Guzzles, gas and is way less powerful than the PSD. The v10 is nice to drive in the winter for short jaunts. I got tired of starting the diesel just to turn it off again.

The v10 is gutless and needs a S/C, but it is quiet.

Hey just want to clarify- the Drive-thru tune that Jody makes (DP Tuner) is for that only- for use in drive throughs were you can't hear the guy mangling the English language while you order a Big Mac and diet coke. You won't be able to drive more than 15 mph with it, and if you get it that fast be prepared to kill low flying birds with the smoke cloud LOL. But it's nice for those days when I want to start the truck at 0400, and let it warm up but not keep the neighbors up. And Jody can get you set up to run those singles you got in mind.

sweet!

Should I mention something about my v10, to keep this on topic, heh, heh...

Ok, here it goes, the drive thru tune will be as quiet as as the v10, but smoke more, cool!

As many have said, I like both, but I like the PSD better.

I think I'd like the 3v v10 better than the 2v I have.

I have no doubts about that. The 2v is a gutless pig compared to the 3V.

I wouldn't exactly say gutless, but I can imagine the 3V being more powerful.
