Don't lie, we all know you parked next to the trailer neck in a position that looks like it's hitched up
Yep, just parked it there to see what it looked like. The 375 rolls that were in the sheds this fall just followed me home like the pied piper. Much cheaper on fuel to move them that way.
Lest stir the pot, driving a couple of gassers from different brands, and the big 3 diesel trucks all I can say the only gasser engine I can say comes close to diesel performance is the 3.5 ecoboost, 2013 f150 ccsb 4x4 lariat that had 3.73 and boy that thing has ***** towing 10k from a dead stop and hill climing, i could care less what the numbers say, real world experience says an ecoboost comes close to a tunned 6.doh, stock 6.7 cummins (2016 HO), stock 6.6 D-max (2014) and a slightly modify 7.3.(my sig) all on the fleet.
And no im not kidding about the 6.7 cummins they both feel about the same from a dead stop and highway driving (factory tunning sucks). That cummins is a bad mother though anything above 10k is reaching diesel territory. And thats where diesels start to really shine and gassers fall short.

The question is, have you driven a 3V V10 with the 5R110 transmission????? It is amazing how well it will move an 25,000# trailer. On higher altitude towing I would definitely agree that the engines that are turbocharged will be a much better option.
I'd add a picture but all I have is the same old one I posted way too many times, that should change shortly I will be hauling hay again soon. The old 06 F350 stock will out pull my neighbors 05 5.9 RAM and isn't that far behind in MPGs.... i'm going to leave Ford diesel comparisons out of the equation.
No I havent had a chance to drive a 3v v-10 would love too thou. What i have driven was a 2V 6.8 with 3.73 and yes the thing was a turd a gear change would of helped for sure but this is from what ive driven,
Have you driven an ecoboost while towing?
