Looks like you're getting it down to the bare metal. Looks good. Good job!
QUESTION: 1) Is a prime coat of "Anything" applied prior to the application of Herculiner, or is it applied to the bare metal?
2) Does Herculiner act as a sound barrier?
3) Does Herculiner act as a heat barrier?
4) Can you put it on your "Oatmeal?
Rog
Thanks! Its nice to see hard work finally starting to pay off...
I talked w/a few people who had used herculiner (inside and outside their trucks) and they didnt use a primer....I didnt use a primer either. It does say that if you are lining bare metal to use a primer but I didnt have bare/clean metal.
Sound barrier: Sorta...the motor is more muffled but I hear road noise from my tires more now
Heat: I couldnt really tell because it was 100+ here so everything is HOT...I do know that during my 4hr trip back home to carrollton friday the floor got very very very hot. I couldnt touch it for more than a few secs it was so hot...but the herculiner did NOT get tacky, or reliquify or anything like that
Oatmeal: Well you could if you really wanted to...but going in wouldnt be what you would have to worry about...comming out in a few hrs would be VERY interesting

Herculiner will deaden some sound, but not much, and it isnt much of a heat barrier. i used it in my blazer and it would get down right hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.
The 08 console is in!
Unfortunately I cant post any pictures until this weekend... I am up in carrollton visiting my parents and I left my digi cam back home in nacogdoches

It turned out very nicely... I LOVE having it
All I have left is the laptop mount (its in the mail) and the drain holes
The chair is reclined back...it makes it looks kinda awkward but its really nice...makes me realize how much I hate that 1/2 seat 1/2 console that was in there
