Hello from BC

I thought I'd try this out. Maybe someone here can give me some guidance:

I've had an '08 250 4x4 5.4L (gasoline) 6-spd M/T for about 1-1/2 years (10,000 mi), now and I can say I'm truly disappointed with this truck and Ford's response to it's many problems.

The most annoying of these problems it the engine's irregular idle speed: The engine decellerates at inconsistent rates; Idles at anywhere between 700 and 3500rpm; and accellerates randomly and without warning. This is exremely aggravating and dangerous!

The Dealers response after updating the ECM and replacing the TPS?
"That's the way it is supposed to work."

How can I get this truck to have reasonable driveability?

Sounds like you got some issues. Try posting your questions in one of the sites Tech forums related to your truck. The members there are very knowledgeable and are always will to help.

Just click on Forums at the top left of this page and then List to get to the main Tech forum threads.
