Overhead Four Wheel Drive Console

On my cousins 1988 Bronco II the light on the switch for the frour wheel drive don't come on when it is in 4 wheel drive. I suspect there is a bulb in that console that is not working. How do you get this console loose from the overhead?
Thanks!

I can't remember if you have to take the rest of the trim inside the windshield off to get to what holds it up there or not. A Haynes or Chilton's - or even the online repair guides at autozone.com should clarify things. Is the transfer case actually engaging? You may also want to check the wiring connection(s) at the transfer case to see if it's sending signal back to the module and console that it's in 4 hi and 4 low.
