Progress pics- Cab off- free parts rig!

Know how much we all like pics. Got my free parts rig(red '60 F350 ladder truck) which I plan to use for the cab, doors and other misc parts. At the end of the day I will end up with a '59 f250 pickup with the '57 hood.
towing it home:

after some pressure washing

Time to work

Just about ready to sandblast, then painting with industrial red-oxide primer.

Not many can say that their parts vehicle lifted the cab off their truck!

Looks cool!

Be sure you top coat the primer. Primer is porous to moisture and will soon rust underneath. I'd highly recommend using an epoxy primer over the industrial primer. The latter is not designed to resist chipping from flying debris as it is not typically subjected to thrown rocks, water and salt spray, etc.
