I hate it when that happens. I can't stand being stuck in the house when there's something I want to do to my truck.

You should get one of these. http://www.carbox4u.com/catalog.php/...z._14.5oz_21oz. I have one for my 74' with doors on the front and back. Nice for working on the truck in the rain or sleeping in if your having lady troubles. LOL. Havn't got much rain down here.

ok, got my tranny yesterday.. today i took it ff the engine and was suprised to find a new converter and marking on the inside.. from what i can make out the tranny and torgue converter were replaced in 05 so i got a basicly neew tranny and converter, plus a spare 4.6 sohc for 50.00... not bad.. gonna put it in tomarrow if the wheather permits, they are callin for more rain all week.. i dont know if i can handle more rain this season..........

one good thing, cab mount will be here tomarrow so at least then i will be able to put the cab on when the wheather permits.

Major props to you 79'. This is the kinda stuff that we all need to appreciate when modifying an older truck. You have attempted things that i myself would have to have major help on but love all the info and pics your providing. I too like the look of making it look so-so then spankin them off the line then tell them is just a straight six LOL. Hate kids with fart tips on their cars with a passion. If they have fart tips why can't i have open headers?? If you build and ark make sure its big enough so when it rains you can keep working on your truck LOL. Sense of pride will be worth it once its going down the road and haulin ass.

still have not got the cab on, my local county fair is goingon rite now so i've been spending all my time down there..

however all that rain we had let me master the wiring harness from the mark viii. i found there are 3 main power wires and 3 main grounds.. and if they are all hooked up she will run and the tranny will shift. thay are as follow from the ecu

# 1=power wire (constant)
#37=power wire (key'd)
#57=power wire (key'd)

and the ground's are

#20
#40
#60 all grounds

i still aint sure how to make it start with the key but i'm sure i'll figure it out.
