midstategene is starting off with a positive reputation.
Smile New and happy to find this site!

Hello everyone and thanks for all the cool info! I have a 1969 F100 with a custom home-built tilt front clip. I also did the unthinkable for many enthusiasts and put a Buick big block 455 under the hood. I had it already, times are tuff, and it has the added bonus of having 510 ft lbs of torque without modifications. It should have no problems pulling anything. I bought the truck for $600, the engine and transmission for $500, I had the stage 1 cam from my last 455, the springs and bed came off other trucks (1969 F250 Flexomatic springs and 1970 XLT bed) and cost me around $200. With gaskets and seals and all the steel for fabrication, I still have less than $1800 invested so far. Can't wait to look through other's albums and see some cool pics.
