77 f250 caliper "help"

Trying to replace pass. side dual piston caliper. Every parts store lists both sides as the same. I have no idea how that can be , due to the total opposite set up on each side. Am I missing something ? Any idea where to obtain the correct version ? any info would be of help .

They are the same. I replaced them on a '78 F 250 2wd last summer.
I was puzzled too, till I held the old ones side by side and saw they were the same.
The hoses are different, and expensive.

I am assuming that mine being a 4x4 may be the difference? The hose and bleeder would either be on the bottom , or the pistons on the outside of the rotor....?????

The hose and bleeder are in the top center of the caliper. This makes them able to fit both sides.

Have you physically looked at your calipers?
Are they not the same???.....If more than one source is showing the same caliper for both side, then it must be the way it is.
Before I go any farther though, I would simply look at the ones on the truck.

Went out and looked at mine, they are the same. The only difference is where the bleeder and hose attach. Both holes are tapped the same thread, so hose and bleeder are interchangeable.
