64 f250

I have a 64 f250 and I am looking to bump up the motor from the factory 292. It has the factory 4 speed which I would really like to keep as well. What size motor can I fit with this transmission and have little to no engine bolt up mods?

I don't know that anything will just bolt up. Most alternate engines will mount on the side of the block. Those mounts will have to be welded or bolted to the frame. Then you'll have to figure out how to support the rear.

Since you're in the Y-block forum and given the amount of work required to swap to another motor, I have to ask, is something wrong with the 292?
