You can put the pipes on it without doing the break in miles. However, if you want to improve the sound of the existing exhaust, try this:
What the VTX riders call the Clayton mod- all you have to do is drill 7 holes in the first baffle around the center stud. Use a 15/32" drill bit ( a very long one) and just drill through the sheet metal. It took me about 10 minutes to do mine and the sound is great. It also passed inspection with the mod done. If you don't like the sound, you can put the cobras on- which you will do eventually, anyway.

Here's a link for the clayton root mod:
http://crapmods.com/phpBB/viewtopic....hlight=clayton The pics will pretty much explain it all.

By the way, here's a photo of the next mods I want to do to my own bike:

I personally would REALLY like to have a Street Bob, or a Wide Glide, but both are out of my price range right now. My dad just recently got an '06 Fat Boy but I don't really even want to know what he paid for that.

I'll just stick with this for now (and hopefully the mod bug won't get too out of control)

yup 5'12"

OMG this is a sexy bike.
I have seen a few GW that have pulled in here that are pretty sexy but sees like too much for me as I am not into the motorcycle RV side of the house. I want to just say ef everything and go out on the country roads for a day.

There was just a guy who stayed here for over a week and every time he comes down this way he stays here and has the Amish leather shop make him more and more stuff for his lil HD. I asked if they were going to wrap the gas tank next. He has the handle grip wraps with fringes, bags everywhere, a set of foot covers...it is unreal. I so do not like that. I wanna see bike. I want the metal I paid for.

Thanks guys!
