If you are talking about the threads stripping out inside the nut I just had this problem 3 days ago. Fortunately I just ran down to the local tranny shop and he threw me two of them no charge.

rat won't you looke here, a new boy here still using his daddys wrenches, talking trash. Be easy son we just might unplug your keyboard from the inside.
Next time if you will put one of those six point sockets on straight and all the way up, it should come off without stripping.

Those torque converter bolts are self locking type and aren't designed to be reused once removed. Although most of use DO reuse them without any problems, there is always the potental to strip the threads of the NUT when removing them.
Don't mind John. He just has those days when he doesn't want to answer questions so he just pokes fun at newbies.
You'll find that after you have a few thousand post under your belt, he will warm up to you a little bit.

John, have you taken your nice pill today?

John dont know what your problem is but to tell the truth I dont really care.I may be a newbie to the forum but Ive lived long enough to know i useless smartass when i see one.So maybe being unemployed and on wellfare might give you lots of time but those of usefull members of society would rather not have to bother with your crap!!
