why not slap a normal single cd Sync unit in there?
$500 vs. $2,400 is a huge difference IMO
If he can get the factory to do it, then it'll work. Sync is a factory only item at this time. If he changes the head unit himself, or has an audio place do it, Sync will not work. I have a very p!ssed off neighbor right now who has no more Sync in his Mustang after changing his head unit out for more noise. I have the audiophile in my Fusion with Sync, and it is unbelievable. Seriously, I've never even heard an audiophile system sound like this. It puts my trucks audiophile completely to shame. 8 speakers, 2 woofers, and Sync. Not to mention the rest of the little car being fully loaded.
my 2006 F-150 Supercrew FX4 had a MSRP of almost $44,000
it just depends what options you pick up on it.
forget the payments. Get cold hard #'s. As presented, your deal is a huge buttrape. In addition, there is anywhere from $2,500 - $6,000 in rebates available for your purchase as well
MSRP is just a kindly way for them to stick you with $4-5,000 of extra $$$ that has no justification. Invoice pricing is closer to the trucks actual value, and will minimize what you actually pay
Using Edmunds.Com, I built a similar priced FX4. The Invoice pricing was almost $5,000 less than the MSRP price. So lets rework the #'s using that price instead.
- $2,500 rebate...and like I said, you can squeeze almost $6,000 depending on your qualifications
= $32,500 to finance
Unless you are somewhere like me, you can pretty much set your terms on the sale if the #'s are reasonable. And if they don't play ball, just walk away and talk to another dealership.
I just bought the 2008 Expy in my signature.
MSRP sticker price was $50,000
I paid $38,000 for it...and I should have been able to get another $4-5,000 off. But I live in Hawaii and my options are very very limited.
I can't just go down the road, and they know it. You can however...use that Power. It is a huge bargaining chip for you.
how did you get sucha good deal, what did u say and do, im bad at this crap and i know i can get less
take the truck you want. get all of the little details about it.
go to Edmunds.com
build the exact same truck. they will show you the MSRP, Invoice, and what people are paying in real life.
you want to take the final Invoice price for that truck in and start at that point negotiating...not from MSRP.
Invoice
-Rebates
+Negative Equity
+TT&L
=Final Out the Door Price
NEVER EVER NEGOTIATE FROM MSRP. YOU ARE ESSENTIALLY GIVING THE DEALERSHIP ROUGHLY $3,000 OR MORE OF FREE MONEY...AT A BARE MINIMUM
If they don't want to play ball, walk away. Eventually you'll find a Dealership who wants to make a sale. Not all of them are crooked rip-offs looking to fleece the next idiot they find.
Now concerning your trade-in.
Go to a Dealership with your friend. Have them drive and leave your car at home.
Don't even mention you have a trade-in. Get the deal worked out. Get it in writing.
LEAVE the Dealership
Come back with your trade. Come prepared with Kelly Blue Book and NADA Trade-In Value's. Allow them to try and buttrape you on the Trade.
Then point to the fair market value. Unless of course you are getting a better deal than you should
It ain't rocket science dude. Just stick to your guns. You've obviously already gotten screwed once. Doing it again will only make things worse for you.
just went to kbb and my jeep is worth even more than i owe on it than went to edmunds and priced it out and was at 34468, now all i have to do is keep shopping around and try to get a low rate but so far all the dealers i went to are talking over 6 percent , total b/s
Did you use the resale or wholesale. Do not use private party sale as they will never give you that price. That is the price that they will try to sell it to another person.
Have you pulled your credit score to see what it is? There is a lot of power in knowledge as everyone here has stated. The dealership will not just give you a great deal, but you will need to work to get it.
