keyless entry/alarm

I am trying to figure out if i have them. truck is a 97 f150 lariat. did a search and people seemed to say that it would be under the left kick panel so i removed it and found a box up in the corner that was small with 2 wire harness and a coax cable which is how people described the remote box. did i find the right part and is there any way to turn it on or off or test to see if it is broken. i tried the key off to run 5 times and the locks never locked and unlocked so i am out of ideas. any help would be great

If you followed the instructions in your owners manual properly and the truck did not respond then I would say that the truck is not equipped with keyless entry.

haven't had time to work on the truck lately been busy with the mustang. I really believe that this truck has keyless entry. Can any one tell me if this is the keyless entry module.

I can't say for sure that the item in your picture is the Central Security Module but, it looks like it could be it.

is it. Is dead. Plugged it into my other 97 f150 and it did nothing. I will try to replace it and hope that that takes care of my issues. What else used the same FOBs as a 1997 f150

If you have the three button FOB, it was used through out the range of these trucks. Good luck!

Not true. 1997 is different from 98+. Does anyone know the difference between F7CF-15K602-AB and F7CF-15K602-AD
