92 f250 460 timing question

I had advanced the timing on my 1992 f250 with a 460 from the stock 10 degrees to 12 or 13 degrees. Not sure which one for sure cause it is a little hard to tell. Anyways after i did it my acceleration was faster then usual as expected. Even sucked me into my seat when i hammered it at 40k and let off at 80k a few seconds later.

So the problem is that my computer had reset itself and adjusted the fuel and i was wondering what i can do to set it back. The power was impressive and i wouldnt mind having it back. Now it feels that i am back to where i started. Any help would be great.

Did you disconnect the pip connector when you set the timing?

Then the ecm just reset the timing back to what ever it was. You need to disconnect the little grey pip connector near the TFI modle be it on the distributor or the drivers fender near the firewall. Set the timing then reconnect the pip connector. The check engine lite will come on but will go out when you restart.
