Is the Bell Housing Bolt Pattern Same on all FE Engines
I want to find a rebuildable 390 to replace my 360 and want to make sure that the bolt pattern is the same for all FE engines regardless of the year they were made. I assume they are but want to make sure before buying a 390.
Thanks,
Bob

Yes sir Bob, they sure are. Question, Why don't you buy a 390 crank and piston set and rebuild your engine?

I'll bet you could get a 352 cheaper, to run while you build your engine. Heck you should have the job done in a week.

I could get it built in a week, but money is the problem. I have a small business on the side and the profit from it is what I use to repair work. I already have the gaskets, but I will need to save up enough to have the heads redone. What is the going rate in your area for head work. I had the heads redone on my GMC Suburban and they charged me $240.00 that included decking them and one new valve.
