It only took one hard braking episode to ruin a rotor. Had a carquest salesman in my office one day and was complaining about my brakes. He ordered me their severe duty rotors and pads. They are designed to work together and I will say that has been 50k miles ago. They have been awesome. I have had to get on the brakes many times when I thought here goes the rotors, but they are still nice and smooth. I am getting ready to do the brakes on my X and will get a set for it as well. I am not saying the Carquest rotors and pad are the best, but it is clear they are designed to complement eachother and do. JMHO
