Well, we made it to Seattle! We are in redneck hell at first campground, we are moving tomorrow. We will be here and around here for a few weeks.

Not alot of choices either... I was there almost 10 months last year! I found the COOLEST 'site' ever on craigslist - look in parking and storage. Several 'RV spaces' for rent, one guy near Tacoma had a 4 spot 'park' and lived in one of the spots. Just inquiring about the space was like a national security position interview - he was picking his neighbors!

KOA is Kent was only $650/mth - until the end of spring they went to $55/nite, no discounts. And then you can't park by RV if park is full...

Here's where I landed. 7.5 acres and one house (just visible to right)

The kids had all this yard to play in and basically no one to disturb or run them over... oh, and the blackberries were HUGE and PLENTIFUL - I picked a big bowl every AM before work for weeks!

Dunno if he's still renting this spot, but if ya don't find anything good, lemme know and I'll give you his phone #.

Be sure to take a 'Duck Tour' amphibious vehicle ride from downtown Seattle. The comedy is worth the admission, but you'll learn stuff about the city locals don't even know. My wife and kids still talk about it. Other than that, ya gotta get over onto the penninsula and see Hurricane Ridge and Olympic Hot Springs is one of my all time favorite places on earth! Fort Worden (Port Townsend) is a beautiful sandy beach with clear water and nice views of the sound. Maybe drive down and over the Tacoma Narrows in the morning and take a ferry back into Seattle in the evening.

I'm sitting here in Louisiana in a puddle of sweat realizing how much I took it for granted there last summer. It got up to mid 80's and they acted like it was the end of the world! Even when it was low 90's, it still cooled off at nite...

Okay I am sooooooooo jealous.

My soon to be son in law is a cable installer for cable companies. He is subcontractor. he actually moved in to my motel when they started putting cable up here in Paoli and the first day he came in I said 'I wish you could meet my daughter, you two would make beautiful babies" She moved here a month later by chance and they met her second night here and it was total magic. They have been together almost a year. Now they are heading off to Georgia as his job here is 99% finished. They are looking for a travel trailer to live in but they will prob end up in motels again.

back on subject. sorry.....Who all goes with you when you travel? pics please.

My whole family goes with me and also works with me..... well, actually 2/3 of the family since our oldest son is in the phsyc hospital. That is a whole other story (you can search for it). Anyway, my wife works alongside with me and our youngest also works alongside of us. He goes around cleaning up after us and vac our mess (he is a great gopher too).

Thanks, Bryan

Currently the wife and son are back in Seattle and I am sitting on a plane from Seattle to Dallas and then on to Detroit for the night. Tomorrow I fly to Boston and start driving / working my way to DC. I have to stop in Providence, and Edison along the way.

Well, now I am on my way back to Seattle (on the plane). I ended up going to Detroit MI, Boston MA, Edison NJ, Jersey Shores NJ, Arlington VA, and DC. NOw Sony tells me that I will probably be called out to do the same route next week and then drive a whole loop complete another project.

Wooohooo! Rack up those miles! My last 'loop' from home to Seattle and back was 7,500 miles, but I only burned about 1/2 tank of diesel - or $60 worth... Most of the 400ish gallons of VO was free from friends along the way!

Too bad your Ex is a gasser - I could hook you up!

Safe travels! Where's all the cool pics?
