yeah, my engine builder tells me to let engine idle for 10-15 min and drive van with accelerations in 3d ore 4th gear from 1200 to 3000 rpm several times, then to let idle. He sais that I should read temp. gauge to prevent overheating and not to off engine after I ran 2000 rpm before I let engine idle for 2-3 minutes.

xlt4wd90 is starting off with a positive reputation.
That 2000 for 20 is for breaking in just the cam; make the lobes wear in with the flat tappet lifter faces. It helps all engines to do this properly, but is critical for racing engines with aggressive cams.

Engine break-in should follow what you said.

Pablo I would glaze break the cylinders, clean pistons and rering, replace mains and big ends , bead blast the heads, regrind valves new valve seals gaskets and you are ready to go.
