Question on upper EFI intake

This is on a 91 5.0 in a 91 T-bird.

I need to seperate the upper intake plenum from the lower. Engine is still in the car. Is it just four bolts holding the two halves together? I have all the electrical connections unplugged, and I have bled off the fuel pressure.

I only see four bolts so I think it is the gasket holding it together, but don't want to break anything trying to force it apart.

Help would be appreciated.

there is a intake plaque that says 5.0HO or so on it. there will be 4 allen or torx bit screws holding it on. under that plaque is 2 more bolts you need to take out to get the upper intake plenum off.

Thanks for the info, I never would have thought about looking under that.

On an EFI SBF windsor, I'm pretty sure you'll always have 6 bolts holding the intake plenums together. Here's a GT40 upper, and F-150 type lower.

Yep, my bad... I think that's a regular car 5.0 upper. Still a windsor EFI intake, the diversity helps my point. Here's a GT40(left) and 351w pickup lower in the second pic(far right).

I had those pictures saved when Conanski posted them awhile back. I have them that he listed them as (the big 3 pictures):

5.0 HO/ 5.0 Truck/ 5.8w

Which is why the 5.0 HO lower intake helps the 5.0 trucks gain lower torque.
