Timing chain/eccentric/front cover

I'm putting together a 351W. I want to run a mechanical fuel pump. The shop that did the short block build put a double roller timing chain on it. I have a 1 piece fuel pump eccentric. When I test fit the timing chain cover, it hits the fuel pump eccentric. It would also hit the crankshaft oil slinger. I've done some searches on this site and others. It seems that one solution would be to get a 2 piece fuel pump eccentric. I would have to shorten the cam sprocket drive pin for the fuel pump eccentric tab to go in. But, I'd still have the oil slinger issue. I have also read that some double roller timing chains have been used with the 1 fuel pump eccentric. If so, these double roller timing chains must be thinner. The chain that I have is 7/8" thick.
I guess what I really trying to do is find the correct combination of parts to accomplish this task.
Any help?
Thanks,
Chris
