Just straightpipe the ole girl. She'll be loud then! That is what's on my 04. Had a silverline muffler on it at first, but wasn't quite loud enough. If you really want it loud, then a straightpipe is the way to go.
(that is if it's legal in your area)

I don't see the point honestly. Just replace with a piece of pipe and be done with it.

Nothing at all. Other than the exhaust, she's pretty much stock. Going to order my gauges here before long though. Still trying to decide if I want to go with a tuner now or not. I want one no doubt!

SCT custom tunes all the way. They are the best for 6.0

Do a search in some of the forums for SCT. I've heard nothing but awesome reviews about them. So much better than all the off the shelf tuners out there (Bully Dog, Edge, Banks, etc). Just make sure you get yourself a good set of gauges before you put a tuner on to keep everything monitored well.

I haven't priced them directly yet, but from what I've heard, they run about the same price as most off the shelf tuners.

You got it. Not only do you get better performance, but custom tunes from SCT are so much better on your truck. I think a few of the guys that do the custom tunes will throw in like 3 of their custom files, ontop of the 3 canned tunes that already come on the programmer, if you buy it from them. It's a win win as far as I'm concerned.
