How to adjust headlights
i got new headlights from my parts truck since one of my original headlights caught on fire my truck is leveled out so i need to adjust the headlights angle down so i don't blind other drivers, i tried to do this with a 4mm socket and the socket just started to knock the sholders off of the adjuster bolt, is there an easy way to do this?
if not then keep in mind that i am good with a welder, sawzall, grinder, torch, and have a HUGE hammer

Tbird,
Autoparts stores do sell a small "wrench" for those adjusters--it looks like a shorty screwdriver. But the adjusters on my '88 are so frozen, I can't get them to move, no matter what I do--and that's after "soaking" the adjusters, by trying to shoot PB Blaster down the shafts of the adjuster rods, hoping it got to where it needed to be. So far, no joy.
Perhaps the wrench will work for you, though?

Tip about the specialty wrench is a good one..I have one (only cause it was on clearance for a buck..). Biggest issue with the adjusters is that they freeze in place. Presoaking and patience is key. When they are as they should be, they turn easily. If that doesn't work, there is always the BFH and the checkbook.
