Harte3 is starting off with a positive reputation.
Some years ago I used a piece of steel brake line to replace the choke heat tube. They tend to corrode off right at the point where they exit the manifold.

1975, in F-series trucks with the 240 and 300 six. About the same year as the crossover from points ignition to DuraSpark electronic, if I'm not mistaken.

The 240 was discontinued after the 1974 model year.

First year of Duraspark-I was mid to late 1974 models.

1975 seems right for the EGR Valve, with a couple of years earlier for california.
