goins is starting off with a positive reputation.
Can't get Reverse

I have a Ford Ranger 4x4 XLT 1999

I'm have problems with Reverse, I can engage it but it will only move if vehicle idles and if I put it in 4x4low.

All the other gears work fine.
The fluid is not burnt.

Please help!

Just a guess, but have you checked out the linkage to be sure it's fully engaging when it's supposed to? Any chance that a lift has been installed recently? If so, a linkage adjustment is likely in order.

Sounds like a bad seal on either reverse servo, or on high clutch pack.
