59 Hood Question

I have a question about the hood on a 59 F100 that I have. It doesn't have the raised 5" or 6" wide rib running down the center. Otherwise it looks just like my other 59's hood. Did they change the style somewhere during the 59 production?

I have no Clue.

But I'll bump this back up to the top for you. If you don't get an answer, write a PM to "Col Flashman." He's up on that vintage truck.

Good luck

'59 hood

Yes,
The hood was totally re-designed for the '59 model year.
The very early 1959 hoods were produced without the raised portion down the center. It was added after production had already started on the '59 model year, in order to help strengthen the hood. :-)
