well I guess to start off with we need to get your window down. the easiest way is to get a battery (one car battery or 2 6v lantern battery's in series) pop the back cover off and just jump the motor. bring it far enough down to clear the shell and then drop the tailgate

I would do just far enough or bring it back out a little one the gate is down, It will give you some more roon to work inside the gate. just be very carefull when you drop the tailgate

ok, after a bunch of inspection and stuff it has been determined that the tailgate latch switch? (the thing that hold on to the striker bolt) is faulty, my friend and I jumped it to itself and the window moves. which leads me to my next question, how the heck do you get it out of there? The window rail is in the way. I assume the 2 bolts on the side will take the rail off but will that affect the window? And also would the rail condidtion stop the window? It is not going up and down very well at all. I had to push the window up into the closed position from like 1/2 inch off. Are they expensive?

Ok is it faulty, or just not actuating. I would check it with a meter, reach around and push the switch directly
