1996 Instrument Cluster Help

i've been looking for a cluster with tach for my 96 F350.

i found a guy parting out what he says is a 1996 bronco with the tach'ed cluster. the build date on the sticker in the door jamb says 09/95. there is a white sticker on the bottom of the cluster with a date and time stamp of "18 Sept 1995 17:55". so it looks like the cluster was produced on Sept 18th 1995 at 5:55pm.

is this in fact a 1996 cluster?

It should work fine, pre 94 would be a problem.

actually from what i've read here, i need a cluster out of a 96. 92-93 are interchangable with each other, 94-95 are interchangable with each other, and 96 is on its own.

Only difference should be air bag and possibly anti theft.

The main issue is the difference in the wire connections. There is 2 or 3 wires in different locations in the plugs. A '94 cluster will not allow the alternator to charge in a '96 truck.

I am wrong. It's the '92-'93 cluster the will not allow the alt to charge in the '94-'96 truck.
The '92-'93 are a fair bit different than '94-'96. They are missing the lights for the Airbag and Theft. The wiring is completely different. Major repinning.
The '94-'95 are the same. The only difference from the '96 is, the '96 is missing the Theft light and the '96 has a Brake Fluid level light.
