i mount my 44's by myself. I just put both feet under the tire and ean back. I am sttting on the ground with my knees bent. With this method I can rotate the tire and align the lugs by lifting one foot or the other.
Technique is the key here. Try this next time, its really pretty easy.
I'm trying to picture this in my mind but it doesn't make sense to me.
I think you're right, technique is key. If I had to mount tires more often I'm sure I would find my own way of doing it.
I'm young like yall, so strength isn't an issue. I figure I'm just doing it wrong.

You may be right in that you have not done it often enough. I've never seen Ed (75F350) change one of those 44's - but I wouldn't doubt he can. I know both he and I have PLENTY of practice taking tires on and off these things. Waaaay too much practice actually

Off topic, but I think you guys can confirm something for me. When running an automatic locking differential, and you get a flat tire on the locked axle, is it true you cannot run two different sized tires on a locked axle? My spare tire is OE. So if it's true, all I need to do is pull my front tire off and put it on the locked axle, correct? And just use the spare on my front?

I sit on the ground, and with my knees bent, awwww heak. Probably harder to explain, Ill just go take a pic. 44's are too heavy to lift by myself, and mount, so developing a technique was a must. Here is what I mean:
Example is a 40" tire.
Lan back and the tire goes up, lean to one side, and you can roll the tire around a little so you can line up the lugs. Pretty effective, and does not require a bunch of strength.

yup. if u have 2 different sized tires on a locked axle it'll bind up and you'll either blow something apart or it'll stall the truck out.
whats a good kit for the F250's? was lookin at the skyjacker kit cause it comes with the shocks and front and rear leaf packs want to fit 38's or even 40's truck is not driven much so tire wear isnt a concern really/
