external ph8a filter cause foaming?
Can you guys think of a reason that an external ph8a filter i attached in line with the tranny would cause the fluid to foam?? i'm not positve that that install caused it, becuase i changed a bunch of things at the same time. has anyone ever done this mod? too many variables for me to sort out. Thanks

external ph8a filter cause foaming?
well i got some info from a tranny shop today that said that the c4 is particularly sensitive to valve body leaks if it isn't bolted down exacly right. so maybe when i took it out last time, i bolted it unevenly. when it has leaks, they said it will foam. i will go into the tranny this week and re set it. i'll keep you posted on my results! thanks

well, i talked to an autoparts store and they pointed out that a ph8a is meant for a high pressure system, like 20 psi and above, but a tranny only puts out about 7psi. also, the b&m kit said that if i was getting foaming the cooler or cooler line was probalby clogged. I'm guessing that the oil filter was "clogging" it. i removed it but i still have foaming, even after re-checking the shift kit install. I'm gonna try bypassing the stock cooler with an aftermarket cooler, just in case the radiator one is clogged. i'll keep you updated.
