Nominations/Volunteers for new AL Chapter Leader 7-10
Brian, BrianA, has requested to start the process for selecting a new Alabama chapter leader. Brian finds that work is taking him out of town "a fair amount of time", and he would like to hand over the leadership to a NEW leader.
SOOOOOOOO, nominations or volunteers for the chapter leader position are hereby open. This thread will remain open for 30 days. At the end of that period, an election will be held if necessary. If there are NO nominations or volunteers then the chapter will be put on "Auto Approve" for new member join requests.
Chapter Leader guidelines can be found here,,, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...-1-2008-a.html

If anyone should have any questions about the position, you can contact Rich, 99trigger3_0 or George, glruff who are the Regional Chapters Moderators.
If you nominate a member, make sure that member will accept the nomination.

A quick comment as a FWIW thing.....
If you have ever wanted to get involved in FTE, this is a good opportunity.
I have been hanging around here at FTE for a little over 9 years, and serving as the 4.2/3.8 Moderator for about 7 years.
Alabama Chapter leader about 4 or 5 years I think.
A mentioned, things are busy for me these days and I just don't have the time to devote to serving as Chapter Leader in a capacity that serves as a benefit to the chapter members.
So, if you want to be a part of a good group, here's your chance!
Thanks all!

I'd encourage anyone who's considering it to go for it - I'm not sorry I did. I've met a lot of good folks as a result of taking on the job, and made some friendships that extend beyond FTE.

Plus we need another FNG in the CL Forum......................

For all those concidering the position...
It isn't a tough job.. Only takes about a 1/2 hour to take care of CL business, like checking on join request, recruiting new members when you find them in other threads, and Planning GTG's..
You will definitely get more out of FTE if you take on the job...
Don't be afraid of trying it.. There are alot of us that can help you out..
Heck George is even handy once in a while.. That's why we keep him on..

Well, I wouldn't go THAT far, but being CL isn't terribly difficult, and a little bit of effort yields good results and new friends!

All of my fellow chapter leaders that have posted here have already stated what I was going to say.
I took over for NY about a year ago and have enjoyed it very much. If you are not sure if you are cut out for the position, give it a try. I was a little concerned but the support that is available from the other CL and members here on FTE is very helpful.
Give it a shot.... you won't be sorry

Well I see no other volunteers willing to accept the position so I declare Steve, Steve GG the new cl for Alabama!
Congrats Steve, it will take a few days to get you setup and when you are, I will call you again to see that you have all of the tools to do your job.
