2008 front coil springs
Newbie's first post. I just bought a new to me 2008 f350 lariat, traded it for my 06 f350 6.0. The new truck, lucky for me came with the original window sticker in the glove box. I noticed that one of the options is the plow prep package (not available on a CC with the diesel) and I gotta say that the front rides like a board and boy is this thing tall. So on to the question......have any of you done any research into the different front spring options? There is an outside chance I may plow with this truck at some point but not likley anytime soon. I really don't mind the rough ride but it make having my coffe in the morning more of an adventure. I would look at swapping out the springs if I get some good feedback that it is worth while.
Lovin this truck and not missing my 06 powerstroke one bit.

I also traded my 06 6.0 for a 08 F-250 that I put stiffer springs on the front and 350 blocks in the rear. To try to answer your question - do you have any marking labels on the springs? Mine still had the marking labels and I could follow that # up and found the springs that came on my truck were 4800lbs. I swapped them out for the 6000lbs. Total time was about 1 1/2hr. taking my time. Now I could have plowed with the 4800lb springs had I not already owned a 9'2" Boss V plow. With the 4800lb and the v plow raised for travel in the v position I only had 2" of clearance in the rear which for me was not enough. If you get a plow you can always switch back to the stiffer springs. I think switching your springs is the easy part - finding out which springs you actually have could be the challenge, my guess is you have the 6000lb and could swap to the 4800. Do you have a v8 or v10?

Thanks. I'll try our local dealer.
Funny though, I contacted a dealer that advertises on this site and they said Ford will only let them sell what originally came on the truck because of liability reasons.
Told them I already have what originally came on the truck, I need the heavier ones.
