Wow! I understand your frustration... I would never expect that either from a new vehicle even if it sat on the lot for a year. We'll talk...

Update

The dealership my vehicle is at has suggested engine replacement due to the "HACK" job they performed on my vehicle. The Service Manager cannot believe the level of incompetence. Tomorrow, the Ford Exec I'm working with will make the call and go forward from here. If all goes well they'll pay for everything since all my damage was done or caused by the previous dealership that really doesn't care...
The findings after partial teardown was that both cams were not aligned correctly. They were retarded. Also looks like there's piston/valve damage from this. Once my situation is resolved, I'll post the dealership and my complete point paper in an attempt to prevent this from happening again.

It'd be best not to post the dealer info, as it is this thread is walking the line on site guidelines. This is a horrible thing to have to deal with, but blasting the dealership here isn't going to help. I would highly recommend talking with the regional rep though, that is what they are paid to deal with. Most dealerships won't mention this, because if the rep decides in your favor, the dealer looks even worse.

Update

Well here's the latest. Ford Corp. in an effort to move forward decided to pay 50% of all cost and reduce all parts and labor to warranty rates.
I'm not thrilled that they didn't hold the dealer that screwed me and my truck accountable but maybe they are behind the scenes. I do have a warranty thru my insurance. They're picking up the rest of the tab minus my small deductible. So all in all I can't complain about that but I don't want that dealership screwing someone else who may not have atumotive knowledge. I still have my compalint in to the BBB. More to follow

I sincerely hope they do a better job swapping out your engine than they did swapping out mine...lol I wound up getting a new truck they screwed mine up so bad. The only down side was the price of my license tags shot through the roof again.

Angry Unbelievable!!!!!!

Well your not going to believe this! I was suppose to pick my truck up today from the dealership but someone decided rob the the place. Guess what they took? My truck! They stole my truck and a windstar. The police said they must have really wanted my vehicle. They were in and out in 7 minutes. So now I have no truck and more than likely won't get it back in a condition I would want. The dealership left the keys in the vehicle inside the alarmed/locked service dept. What do i do now? My insurance company is involved obviously, but now I'm out a very nice vehicle. So now I probably have to buy more truck payments! However, my truck has a brand new engine, curtesy of Ford w/ a 100K mile warrenty that some pucks are probably trashing or stripping right now!

That would suck. Hopefully the insursance gives you a good chunk of money back and the dealer should be throwing in something in cause even though the truck is locked in an alarmed/locked service dept the keys shouldnt be left in the truck. Sorry to hear about your lose. Hopefully it turns out good
