1956 F100 door seals

Anyone else have trouble with 56 door seals? I mean getting a good matching pair? Hollow core are the best fitting seals so I ordered a pair from Soft Seal. These guys are supposedly the best there is with very high quality. The first pair came with the pass door dog leg bonded in the wrong way and second pair came with the pass door being a totally different seal compostition. My drivers door is very flexible, soft and the door fits great and closes nice. The pass door is much more stiff and the door closes like crap. What's with these people. All this crap that we pay for and nobody wants to come through when it comes to customer service. Soft Seal said they really didn't want to send out another pair. Just venting but wondered if any of you have gotten the good hollow core style from anywhere. I'm going to get a pair from Mid-Fifty and see how their seals are. They now have hollow core style. Later.

I use DENNIS CARPENTER seals and hve installed over 7 sets with no problem and use closepins and have the doors off. I will challenge myself in a few weeks and install a set on my 56 F600 after painted. Hope I can do it on the truck.

What is the best way to adhere the seals. Do you apply the 3M to the gasket or the door or both and how many clips do you use?

I use 3m adhesive and put it on the seals. I use a clip every few inches or more if possible......good luck
