Great score for my 49

I made a great score over the weekend. I managed to pick up a 9" Traction-Lock carrier with 3.50 gears for my 9'

I wasn't even looking for parts, it just sort of fell in my lap. My buddy was doing some wheeling and dealing with a guy who was trying to swap it to my buddy with some other parts. My buddy didn't need it so he gave the guy my number. Next thing you know I'm driving home with it. I gave the guy $80 for it, seemed reasonable to me.

Know I just need to find some time to get back to work on the truck. Heck, I haven't had it out of the garage in so long it will take me a day to unbury the darned old thing.

Good score.

Seems like I either have a little money and no time, or a lot of time and no money!

It wouldn't be so bad if when I did have time I had a lot of money.

Good deal! Are you going to use it as-is or gear it down even further?

And when you're as broke as a joke, for sure you'll run across the deal of the century... on sale.

Ain't that the truth! I watched several great project trucks (all 48-52) on my local Craigslist being advertised for cheap! Seems everyone's digging them out trying make a little money. Another ad was for 3 9" rears 9 inch ford
And today, a '36 Ford pickup!
But as much as I've been trying to sell, I ain't selling, so I have to wonder if all these deals I read about aren't selling either.

Bob,

Yup, I can never seem to have both time and money at the same time.

Ross,

I'm thinking I can live with the 3.5 gears, especially if I ever get around to changing out to a 4spd auto
