Back up camera setup

I figured i'd start a new thread instead jacking someone elses. At one time I was looking at the backup camera setups on the '08 trucks. To go that route would be a bit pricey from what I have seen. So I found these items and would like to get some opinions on them. FLUSH MOUNT COLOR REAR VIEW BACKUP CAMERA CCD CAMERAS:eBay Motors (item 270291430692 end time Jun-19-09 16:32:43 PDT)

Thoughts?

My camera is almost exactly like that, but it wasn't anywhere near that much. I think I paid like $40 for the camera and around $30 for a 24 ft. rca cable from Radio Shack.

This is the camera I got.....http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...n+VTK-350.html

How do you have yours mounted? How long have you had it? I was looking at that one because I have an idea for a flush mount.....

I figure since my tailgate doesnt have the lock I could put it where the lock would be. It'll be a while before I get around to this one though. Right now I'm trying to decide what to do about wheels and tires. I've been in this battle for a right good while and I aint gaining any ground with it.

Sorry it's been so long to get back to you, I was at the lake all weekend. I have mine flush mounted in the bumper, just to the right of the license plate. I have had it for 3 or 4 months now, I can't remember exactly when I installed it. I have just now started using it quite a bit for hooking up to my boat trailer.

Thanks for the input. Thats where it would really come in handy for me is with the boat. Anybody have any idea how the wires are run on the '08 trucks with the cam in the tailgate? Guess I should probably make a post in the '08 section also....
